Dan Dougherty
Dan Dougherty was an American basketball coach
Dougherty was the head coach of the Army Black Knights men's basketball team for four seasons from 1971 to 1975. His tenure at Army was succeeded and preceded by Basketball Hall of Famers Bobby Knight and Mike Krzyzewski. He was an assistant coach with Villanova prior to coaching the Black Knights.
Dougherty was also a high school basketball coach for Malvern Preparatory School and Episcopal Academy. He retired from coaching in 2010.
Dougherty died at the age of 87 in 2022.
